I started being a patient here since moving to Ecton Brook in 2017. And so far I didnt really encounter any rude receptionist. Except for one particular Doctor. I wasn't expecting a Doctor to have some sort of attitude. Call himself a doctor? Perhaps he should come down to earth a bit. Arrogant. And I wouldn't want to face him again. I hope that my next visit will be a different doctor. Although there was a filipina nurse who is very very friendly that day and helpful and has a gentle hands when she took some blood samples off me . Her name is Raquel and I think she left now and moved up north. I was sad. I have no photos to share. Perhaps on my next visit I will reinsert some photos.

Terrible! There are literally no appointments available even if you call at 08:00 am. On the phone there is no human being to speak to. You wait for half an hour and when you get to the top on the que, you are disconnected. Honestly I am thinking of going back to our old surgery.

It’s a shame I can’t go lower than a 1 Star. Called today bang on 8am and was number 6 in the queue. Once I got through to the receptionist, I was told there are no more Dr’s appointments available! And this is a regular occurrence! Sometimes even told that there are “no Doctors on site today”. I’ve never been to such a poor practice and need to seriously consider moving.

Shocking surgery, utter negligence to their patients. Made a formal complaint to the Care Quality Commission team. Needs to be shut down!

Only rated one star because I can't rate it lower . What an absolute insult to the people registered there. Cant get a prescription right after three attempts. Rated as one of the worst in Northampton and its easy to see why. I will just start going to the out of hours doctors again to bypass this place.

Words can not explain how bad this place is!! Never get to see a dr in person. It's only Tuesday and was told the 1 dr they have is on annual leave and the locum only works from home but has no appts this week. 2 weeks ago called at 8am for an appt, was caller 12 in queue. 8:15 message says no more appts and to call back tomorrow. Today the nurse calls and says "you have an infection, I have prescribed antibiotics for you to collect, good bye"!!! 5 second call and no time to say anything before she puts the phone down. My dad is 88 and has been seen once in 6 years by a dr. He's been on a repeat prescription for years that states it needs to be reviewed every 6 months and whenever he asks for a review, they fob him off. On the 1 occasion my mum saw a dr in the last 3 years for a swollen and painful knee, an issue she had been experiencing for months but took that long for a dr to see her, the dr was wearing hospital scrubs when she went in (scrubs in a GP practice?!!) and he didn't touch, assess or look at her knee once. Just told her to monitor it and see if it gets better!! It had already been months. In summary, don't go here if you want any chance of ever actually seeing a dr.

I am totally sympathetic to NHS staff working under considerable pressure. However there is one receptionist (Amanda) who is sadly not suited to the job. Indeed she would not last long in any other public facing position. Her manner is consistently rude and indeed offensive. Such behaviour lets down the practice and will indeed have a detrimental effect on the well-being of the poor patients she insults.

After a Big change in Staff in the recent year, I feel the Surgery is getting back on track. I would like to say the Receptionist Sonia is doing a very good job, greeting people and acknowledging those still waiting. She listens to what the patient request is and gives confident reply, and if she does not know she finds someone who does. All with a friendly smile and confidence.

Booked a callback for my 6 week old at 8AM as advised for appointment. No face to face appointments available just a callback. Waited all day for phone call. No phone call received. I called at 4pm to ensure a callback however no one called. I called NHS 111 and they ensured me the GP practice will call me as they sent through information to them. No call received. Now we have taken baby to A&E as now it is an emergency after days trying to get an appointment.

I really feel the management at this practice have no regard for public health, safety, or consideration for patients as human beings! Nurses are wonderful, and they are the backbone of this practice. Most receptionists are great, caring, considerate and very helpful, but, One receptionist is downright rude, to the point of being aggressive! Unhelpful, sarcastic, and unbelievably obnoxious! Her behaviour is consistently bad, so why isn’t behaviour like this not dealt with? I know this review will not be dealt with! I have started taking all my complaints to Quality Care Commision. I have worked for the NHS as a Senior Nurse for many years and am horrified by these standards!
