I recently used A1 Remedials for some damp issues in the kitchen. Each communication with the office was prompt and helpful. The work in the house was carried out professionally and to a high standard. I was really impressed with how willing the company were to undertake additional work requested and their problem solving suggestions.
This family run company is professional, friendly, has a refreshing 'can do' attitude and delivers high quality work. I would readily and confidently reccomend them to others
Thanks A1 Remedials.

Paul came out the very next day after I had seen rotting skirting boards in my recently purchased home. Paul came and checked the area, confirming that all was well with no intervention required. Friendly, polite and clearly very knowledgeable. If in the future I have any issues, I will be straight on the phone to A1 Remedials. A very positive experience.

We are very pleased with the work they have done, we had our living room stripped down to stone, damp proofed and plastered. It was quite a big, messy job, but they just got on with it. Finished when they said they would and tidied up after themselves. No surprises, just friendly professionalism.

Paul and Holly came and damp-proofed my sister's property (which I rent). I really appreciate the state they left the house in after and organised for a plumber to come out a few days later to refit my radiators.
Lovely family business and I will recommend them should the need arise!

A1 came out at very short notice to do a survey for some damp patches. Received the quote next day and they very kindly booked us in for a Sunday appointment prior to us having a building survey. Very professional and courteous and did a great job. This is the second time we have used their services and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend

Paul has done a brilliant job. We've had 3 separate areas of the house done and he left the house as clean as possible, which with having 2 small children to contend with, made my life a lot easier once the work was completed.
We had quick and helpful responses to any email queries we had throughout the process.
Would highly recommend. A huge thank you to you guys.

Great job damp proofing utility area - reasonable price for a full day's work. Paul took photos during different stages of the job to demonstrate what he'd done. Really tidy job overall.
A1 also quote for a ventilation unit to improve the quality of air in the property (to reduce condensation and mould). I researched it online and indeed it felt like a good thing to do - especially in an old Victorian terraced house. I was able to buy the unit online and get it fitted by my electrician far cheaper than what A1 quoted. I felt A1's labour charge was far too expensive for 2 hours work (that's how long my electrician told me it would take and this was also consistent with the advice on the manufacturer's website). So, my advice is do your own research before committing to the more expensive projects.
But to reiterate, in terms of the damp proofing of the utility area, that was a great job and good value for money.

We are very pleased with the work carried out in our house. Paul was very professional, checking the house thoroughly for other damp issues, which put our minds at ease. Along with his daughter, they did a great job damp proofing and were extremely good at ensuring minimal upheaval and mess! Good value too!

Paul and the team did a wonderful job on the house that I recently bought, which involved conducting a damp survey, removing all the plaster down to the brick in 3 rooms, a hall and a walk-in cupboard. Then putting in a chemical damp course as the previous one had failed in the house. Very good service, just got on with the job. Very pleased. Well recommended for putting a damp course.
